The project aims to produce a versatile and portable photographic accessory all-in-one remote that can be carried within the camera bag and combines a number of useful features to provide capabilities during field, home, or studio photography.
The complete package will include a wired remote, wireless remotes, power supply for the camera, versatile intervalometerm and an interface to devices such as trip wires, pressure-sensitive pads, and others that can take a picture when the trigger device is tripped. The intervalometer can be programmed to pause between pictures anywhere between 0 seconds and almost 1000 hours in order to stop taking pictures after the specified number of shots. This will not overfill the capacity of the memory card. The device can be set for a bulb exposure, normal exposure, or programmable time exposure from 1/10 second to almost 1000 hours.
The remote can even function as a travel alarm clock with complete snooze alarm. A self-contained 9V battery can be used to power the unit or an external 12V wall wart can be used as power source as well as 12V sealed lead-acid battery pack. Using commonly-available parts, the remote is easy to build.
