The device has been designed to create a simple LED candle using ATtiny13 microcontroller and avoid the danger of producing fire.
The circuit will only use a handful of components along with the microcontroller on an 8-pin socket. The LEDs used are red and yellow color to imitate the flame with a thru hole toggle switch. The value of the resistor may vary depending on the type of LED used. The circuit may be powered using two AA batteries placed in a battery holder. From the two colours, frosted LEDs may be used or diffuse the light by sanding the LEDs.
The LEDs can be made to flash and be at random order with the use of a code which could be better by using pwm and power saving features. The code, found on the link, may also be changed for better performance and innovation. By doing this, the result would be a flickering effect and a variation of colours and brightness, which can be satisfactory to the viewer.
The output circuit may be placed in a zip locked bag to prevent it from moist and be positioned inside a pumpkin to give more entertainment.
