The project produces the automatic medical dispenser machine based on AVR which will automatically give correct pills from CNC milled drums at a time when required while running a calendar and clock for time tracking.
The design consists of 7 drums where one is allotted for each day of the week and 4 compartments where the medication can be filled. An LCD screen and 2 buttons may be found on the front of the machine and can be used for setting the time and date and the need for medication can be programmed. The correct pills are dropped by the machine during medication time and an alarm is sounded until the pills are taken and a button is pressed. It will go back to sleep mode until the next alarm.
A 3mm acrylate that is CNC-milled into all the different bits and pieces were used to construct the drums while the housing is made from a clear acrylic tube. The motor can be fitted in the drilled hole in the back panel as well as the shaft of the motor in the inside disk. The electronics consists of mainboard and interface board.
