Blinky Deluxe RGB LED Termed as Lux Spectralis

Figure:1

Figure 1

A small Atmel AVR ATtiny13 microcontroller is utilized by the project where it is pre-programmed with several different display modes that can be selected using a pushbutton.

During the construction, a 50W soldering iron was used to properly assemble the Lux Spectralis kit. Three alkaline cells can be added since the device is very energy-efficient although it will deplete the electrochemical potential of the cells eventually. This is why some form of rechargeable cells are recommended. It can be a Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) or Lithium Polymer (LiPoly) cells.

The main brain of the Lux Spectralis is the computer chip which controls everything once the power is turned ON. All 8 pins of the computer chip should be ensured that they are inserted into its holes by looking at the back side of PCB and counting the little legs that are poking through. They can be bent to hold the chip.

The pushbutton will be installed after installing the resistors. Clear and big LED will be used and should be aligned while inserting into the PCB. The battery holder should cater 3xAAA batteries with a cover that slides off the holder.
