The purpose of the project is to remote start a car using a cell phone by removing the vibration motor and connecting some circuitry so the car can get warmed up ahead of time.
The initial thing that was done in constructing this project is purchasing a phone that contains a wall wart charger and a battery where the 6 tri-wing holding the inner bezel on were removed. This will reveal all the components and be able to remove the PCB easily. The vibrating motor was removed and soldered wire into its place while the headphone jack was desoldered and isolated with a paper. This procedure tends the phone to lose only the functionality of vibration and using a headset but the ringer and making of calls can still be set. The vibrate function can also be triggered since the phone has timer in it.
Some cheap solid state relays that can initiate below 1.5V is required for the operation although a 30A auto fuse for the other relay will still be needed. A 2.5mm mini headphone jack from a cheap headset from another phone was modified for the hookup.
