Controller Circuit for Water Sprinkler

Figure:1

Figure 1

The project intends to create a sprinkler controller that can be used as an interface wherein system valves or zones will be managed.

A perfboard with wire wrap for the control/logic portions can be used to build the controller which can provide up to 27 zones. The controller can be placed near the place where all the sprinkler wiring system is located with only 2 or 3 wire control lines used from the automation controller to the sprinkler controller. it can be tightly integrated with the controllers status through query-enabled reports and automatically trigger reports from the controller. otherwise, it can choose to just send requests/commands to the sprinkler controller and not read any reports.

To prevent the controller from ever leaving a valve open due to a controller bug or glitch, it employs numerous safeguards. One of the lets the controller reboot if the power becomes unstable and stay rebooted until the power returns to normal. The pump is prevented from being damaged or from overloading the valve power supply by including timers in the controller. Through the fully documented serial protocol of the controller, its firmware was made easy to use.
