Daft Punk Helmet

Remember Daft Punk? This French duo has been so infectious by creating multiple viral videos like those helmets so others tried to give a try recreating it with the use of their own mechanical and electronic knowledge.

This helmet is shaped-like from resin, finished with chrome, and illuminated with LED?s. The rainbow illumination effect is a result of LED?s house in a pattern around the shape of the helmet. An Arduino, AA batteries, and potentiometers help to control the lighting and are attached externally to the Daft Punk helmet. But if you consider the entire building process including molding, casting, sculpting, painting, and your electronic wizardry you went into it. It?s satisfying!
