The sanity nullifier was meant to generate a short beep at random times for about half an hour to 9 hours, with a very annoying frequency.
In the design, a simple prototype board can be used this insane beeper, which makes the construction very simple. The beeping is done in random times wherein the time between beeps can vary from 30 minutes up to 9 hours and 30 minutes. As long as the battery lives, the beeping will be a mystery. The device should be activated first and be hidden carefully. It can cause a person to wonder and be annoyed when he gets clueless.
The hardware part will only containone AVR, one battery, and one piezotransducer that are all packed together. The AVR that runs at 4MHz is needed along with the enabled CKDIV8 fuse. This makes the device to consume only 200uA of current which makes a lithium battery to last longer.
A smaller AVR ATtiny13 can be used in order to create a smaller version where concealing is easier. The ATtiny13 also runs at 4MHz with a hex file calibrated for this microcontroller making the processor run at 500kHz.
