This open source project aims to create a fully programmable SERB package which can be used for any robotics projects.
The SERB package uses the Arduino Duemilanove microcontroller although other microcontroller can be used. The construction will not require any soldering and will be easily expandable and modifiable by having extra bolt holes and included breadboard. For acrylic pieces, cutting options can be chosen from scroll saw, access to a laser cutter, or purchasing pre-cut pieces. The rear wheel contains dual ball bearing as it operates in 1-2 hours.
The little electric veins will be added after all the big pieces were attached together which will allow the control of the robot. The result of connection can be quickly and perfectly done if they are made sequentially with enough time. Until the batteries are added, the wiring is simple and no harm can come to the circuit. The circuit just requires 4 AA batteries while the Arduino requires plugging the 9V battery. The robot will begin to move if everything has been done correctly. The movement will be done by turning in a random direction for a time between 0.1-1 second.
