This project was started by this group to make something challenging and interesting without spending so much money just with their skills. With all of that, they decided to make this video game which they all thought that was worth their entire venture.
They just need to use hardware with a modest learning curve because they are dealing with LCD controllers and keypads. This project also presented great potential in expansion by adding sound, more enhancements to the graphics and the game play were all things that would contribute to the product. They decided to stick with C programming by using the Code Vision and use drivers to interface with the SNES Control Pad and the T6963C LCD Controller.
They have split this project into sections both in hardware and software. The control pad is made of SNES Control Pad because they can find detailed information on the communications protocol it’s using. The LCD interface consisted of two pins for the backlight, and a 20 pin connector for the LCD and the controller and they also use a 40-pin ribbon cable with braided wires, splicing off the power connections and soldering them to solid wires connecting to power.
