The project shows how the Mini Controller is made to interface with any synthesizer with 1V/octave input.
The MFOS Mini Controller utilizes a stylus probe and PCB keyboard contacts that is similar to the classic Stylophone synthesizer used by David Bowie but will not produce any sound on its own since it is only an interface and is probably the simplest synth controller project. It contains 29 stylus keyboards consisting of C – C – C to E, which can be used to play the Sound Lab Mini-Synth or 1V/Oct modular.
There are four CV outputs consisting of 2 with portamento and 2 without portamento that the MFOS Mino Controller can support although this project only uses two. One gate output and one trigger output is also present in the design. The mist-sampling that grabs the raw buss voltage is very rare making this thing too much fun to play with like jabbing a PC trace with a piece of slightly bouncing metal.
The circuit is a very cool thing to use especially for people that are into synth hobby scene. This is a must have while playing in the wee hours of the morning.
