The project aims to build a device capable of recording several physical measurements in different domains as it detects UFO activity in some spot areas.
To obtain more information from a UFO image, the ideal low cost solution is the diffraction grating which provides light spectrum. To view the spectra, a simple software in C# was built since it is easily downloadable and free. A line which should be on a light spectrum can be defined using the left and right mouse buttons. The result can be viewed and saved on the second tab. The original picture is better to be sent to competent persons since the results are approximate because calibration is not performed. A test with a street lamp and a known sodium spectrum was done. This allows knowing a comparison that it is a sodium light bulb and not a mercury lamp because of the diffraction grating.
A serial AVR ISP In-System Programmer was used for the PonyProg along with the serial cable. The programmer was made on a prototype board. It should not be used on 5V board to ensure safety since it is a 3.3V version.
