Question:
How does an H-bridge circuit work to control a motor?
Answer:
The name H-bridge comes from the arrangement of the circuit. 4 switches are used, with the motor in the middle, forming an H. The motor can be set to run forward, reverse, brake, and free when the switches are set to on and off in different combinations.

Now, if we replace those switches with FETs, we can control the motor electronically!

It should be noted that an H-Bridge only works with a brushed DC motor in this configuration.
