Job Description

The primary focus of this position will be on LCI Systems and Generator Protection Panel (GPP) /Generator Control Panel (GCP) systems. In this role of Electrical Engineer, you will:
Review and interpret customer specifications, tender documents and proposals to develop the technical scope of work and drawing packages
Utilize system one-lines, develop three-line diagrams, AC/DC elementaries, and bills of material
Develop electrical panel layout and fabrication drawings
Assist in writing procedures for test and operation of supplied systems
Support manufacturing throughout the fabrication and test cycle
Support customer inquiries after shipment
Act as the project/system engineer to define and coordinate the software and hardware requirements for LCI crossover systems
Develop functional specifications for custom crossover applications/configurations
Review and interpret customer specifications, tender documents and proposals to develop the technical scope of work and drawings for equipment integration packages (the packages will involve the details required for a construction contractor to successfully retrofit existing systems with GE turbine control, excitation, static starter and generator protection and control panel products)
Develop equipment general arrangement and power bus layout and elevation drawings
Develop specifications and ordering drawings for cables, termination panels, power transformers, segmented bus, and iso-phase bus
Develop interconnection drawings, cable and conduit schedules, and material take-offs
Develop layouts and define wiring, lighting, and HVAC requirements for large equipment enclosures
Develop electrical connection and interconnection drawings for large equipment enclosures
Develop specifications and generate ordering drawings for large equipment enclosures

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, packaging and integration of electrical power and control equipment
