Job Description

Work as member of product development team to successfully design, test, and launch new products or in modification of existing products.
Interpret and design to UL, ATEX, and IECEx standards and guidelines related to hazardous location and explosion proof environments.
Develop and conduct product reliability test plans, critical design reviews, FMEA, and risk analysis.
Provide product and system technical design leadership for new product design and develop cost effective solutions to product and manufacturing issues.
Lead agency approvals for new and existing products. Participate as member of VR Agency Team.
Participate in cost-reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
Gain and maintain working knowledge of Company’s products and systems.

Job Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (MSME or MSEE preferred).
Minimum 5 years of technical experience regarding AC motors and drives for pumps.
Strong manufacturing and pump application knowledge.
Experience successfully managing safety agency approvals and projects.
Ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and magnetic design analysis to meet function, performance, and application requirements.
Experience with ProE or solid modeling a plus.
Strong hands on experience required.
Familiarity with GD & T a plus.
