Job Description

You will be responsible to:
develop conceptual and detailed electromagnetic designs for prototypes in partnership with a diverse, cross-functional technical team.
perform advanced electromagnetic simulation using analytical and computational electromagnetics tools.
coordinate the technical design with other resources in the execution of assigned projects, including R&D, Engineering and Sourcing teams.
write technical proposals and present technical information to peers, management and customers.
document the research results and findings through patents, technical reports and publications.

Job Qualifications

PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electrical Machines or equivalence with at least 3 years experience in electromagnetic design and analysis.

Profound understanding of electromagnetic principles and analysis, in particular in the magnetic design of electromagnets or electrical machines
Experience in electromagnetic designs of electrical equipment with electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical interactions such as electromagnets, superconducting magnets and electrical machines
Solid electromagnetic analysis experience using at least one FEA tools such as Vector Fields, Ansoft Maxwell3D, ANSYS, etc.
Knowledge of magnetic material properties
Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, team player and able to own multi-tasks
Effective oral and written communication skills
Good teamwork, coordination and communication skills
