Seal shield helps keep you and your office healthy

Seal shield manufactures waterproof keyboards, mice and other handheld devices that are 100% waterproof. The waterproofed devices can be cleaned in a residential type dishwasher or cleaned with disinfectants. In some cases soaking a keyboard in bleach can remove harmful bacteria. In medical offices it is critical to be able to maintain an environment free of harmful bacteria or viral contamination. This technology makes this possible even with the increased use of computers in offices and hospitals.

Sealshield has 7 patents pending on their waterproofing technology. The waterproof devices can be cleaned with hot water, up to about 135degree F. They are also tested for 10 million key presses, and 30 thousand washings.

To keep the devices safe, they are treated with an antimicrobial coating called silverseal. Silverseal uses a silver ion technology to destroy harmful microbes.

Silverseal offers a range of standard products, including Mac and PC keyboards. They also have a design team that works with customers building custom designs. They are able to help seal a new product for use in a medical environment.
