The OctoPrint Webcam Bracket for Creality CR-10 project is a homemade monitoring device used to assist 3D printing operation. It features a Vilros Raspberry Pi 3 Kit and a Waveshare Raspberry Pi Camera (F) Night Vision Camera with a 3D printed bracket for its mounting on the 3D printer. An Octoprint server and webcam setup handles the system for its remote access.
OctoPrint Webcam Bracket for Creality CR-10 project uses a Vilros Raspberry Pi 3 Kit in which it handles majority of the system, and provided GPIOs that serves as an option for possible additional features. The Raspberry Pi 3 is attached particularly on the bracket while considering the system wirings setup and detachable capability of the Pi from the bracket. The camera is interfaced to the Raspberry Pi in which it provide a visual operation of the 3D printing. It has an IR guns used to attain an excellent night vision. An Octoprint Web Interface is used for remote monitoring in which it requires some initial setup using the raspi-config configuration tool such as enable the webcam interface and SSH - OctoPi, serial port, and baud rate. The physical structure of the bracket is also 3D printed in which it considers the actual setup of the system.
This project is able to assist 3D printing operation and can be develop into a more sophisticated system in 3D printing considering it uses a Raspberry Pi as its main board. The GPIOs and other ports can be used for additional features that will be added to its visual monitoring feature.
