Oktoberfest Beverage Coaster Board

By Design Library |

The oktoberfest beverage coaster board plays music, led lights, and indicates beverage drinkability. It features a Renesas SynergyTM Platform S3-series MCU, and multiple power/analog components from the intersil product line. Some key features of the coaster board are low continuous active current with on/off switch, utilizes low power consumption, and quickly designed utilizing synergy SSP’s Application Programming Interface (API).

The oktoberfest beverage coaster board uses a Renesas SynergyTM Platform S3-series MCU capabilities with power conversion and analog sensor technology of Intersil (a Renesas Company). The Renesas SynergyTM Platform S3-series MCU process analog and digital peripherals in special low power modes as it connected to the end products such as sensors, amplifiers, and converters. The ISL29102 detects ambient light that sets the LED flashing, and set continuous the LED “ON” then plays a music when a preset ambient light level is attained. A GA10K3A1B thermistor detects the temperature change of the beverage in which it serves as the reference of LED color that indicates drinkability. The ISL9111 boost converter and ISL8202M power module manages the supply from two AAA batteries. A ISL28133 single micropower, chopper stabilized operational amplifier is used to provide an optimized power supply of this battery powered device, while the ISL28534 instrumentation amplifier helps to provide a precise temperature range.

Oktoberfest beverage coaster board is intended to be a fun way to serve beverages and celebrate a popular European folk festival. It is self-contained inside a plastic casing to protect it from accidental spills and overflowing.
