December 2017 Cartoon Punchline Competition

The winner of this cartoon punchline competition will receive a full-size copy of the original cartoon, adorned with his or her caption and signed by the artist.

Well, as usual, the December 2017 EEWeb Cartoon Punchline Competition attracted some very interesting offerings (see the comments below). And, as always, these entries had the EEWeb Elves scratching their noggins desperately trying to agree on the winner. Eventually, after much discussion and debate, giggles and grins, and tears and hugs, they decided that the winning entry was "Easier still. He rents a car from Hertz" (the elves laughed until it Hertz) by EEWeb community member Edward Ouellette.

Bob: "Easier still. He rents a car from Hertz"

A full-sized copy of this cartoon, adorned with Edward's winning caption and signed by the artist is winging its way to Edward as we speak. Meanwhile, the runners up -- in no particular order (the EEWeb Elves aren’t very good at "order") -- were as follows:

David Ashton:

" He doesn't. He leaves it at ohm and jumps on the bus."

Don Swaab:

"An ENIAC."

David Ashton:

"He uses the universal serial bus and gets there bit by bit."

Todd Hayden:

"Any current mode of transportation."
